Wake up to the risks of fatigue at work A worker experiencing fatigue isn’t just tired. They’re also less mentally sharp, which means they’re at greater risk of being involved in a workplace incident. Employers and workers share a responsibility to address fatigue so that it doesn’t negatively impact health and safety. IHSA’s new hazard advisory, Managing fatigue in the workplace (W058), is designed to help you assess the risk of worker fatigue—and reduce those risks through job-planning and scheduling, competent supervision, and other straightforward measures.   Download the hazard advisory.

Shine a light on jobsite safety IHSA’s newest safety talk looks at the importance of adequate lighting on construction projects. Poor lighting puts workers at risk: slips, trips, and falls and struck-by incidents are more likely under reduced-visibility conditions. This safety talk highlights the need for site-wide lighting plans and regular lighting assessments as your construction project progresses.
