Take action: Construction Death Review report on falls from heights  
The first annual report of Ontario’s Construction Death Review has been released—and is a milestone for improving construction health and safety in the province. The review process investigated a number of falls-from-heights deaths in an effort to provide answers to impacted families and develop recommendations that improve safety for all construction workers.

Celebrating 1,000-plus NCSOs in Ontario  

More than 1,000 safety leaders across Ontario have now been certified as National Construction Safety Officers. The designation recognizes successful applicants with at least three years of construction field experience who regularly perform a safety function at their workplace. IHSA proudly awards NCSO® certification in Ontario—under the national standards set by the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations.

Behind the scenes: IHSA films new safety talk videos  

IHSA’s videographers and health and safety consultants recently filmed new safety talk videos focused on extension ladders and scaffolds. The shoot took place at the College of Carpenters and Allied Trades’ training centre in Vaughan, Ontario, where the team captured practical, hands-on demonstrations to help workers stay safe on the job.
