Joe founded Helmets to Hardhats Canada in 2012 and has continued to dedicate himself to strengthening Veteran reintegration in our country. As a Boilermaker by trade, Joe understands the impact of stable, well compensated careers in the unionized construction sector. He also recognizes the value that Veterans and military members add to the skilled trades. He has developed a network of unions, employers, and community organizations and helped support thousands of military members transition to rewarding skilled trades careers. For his outstanding contributions and leadership, Joe was presented the Queen Elizabeth II Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship by the Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.
