That’s the core principle of the internal responsibility system (IRS): while the MLITSD can enforce compliance with health and safety legislation, it’s the people at workplaces who are best positioned to make those workplaces safer. IHSA’s latest safety talk video explains how the IRS works and why it matters. Watch the video now. Walking the Steps for Life IHSA staff were proud to be among the many participants in the recent Steps for Life walk in Toronto, which raised awareness and funds to help families affected by a life-altering workplace injury, occupational disease, or death. The Toronto event was also attended by Chief Prevention Officer Dr. Joel Moody and other prominent health and safety leaders. More Steps for Life events across the province are scheduled for May 3 and 4. Check out highlights from Steps for Life in Toronto.
