2024 Recap A message from the Executive Director, James Hogarth As we start 2025, I want to take a moment to celebrate another successful year of connecting Canada’s military community to meaningful second careers in the skilled trades. With your support, we’ve continued expanding our reach and enhancing our programs to better serve Veterans, transitioning service members, and military families who support the skilled trade workforce. Here are some highlights from this year: Inspiring the Next Generation: We engaged with future leaders at Cadet camps across Canada, introducing them to the rewarding opportunities awaiting them in the skilled trades. Indigenous Outreach: Through partnerships with like-minded organizations, we expanded our outreach to Indigenous communities and Indigenous Veterans, fostering new connections and opportunities. Enhanced Training Programs: We continue to provide essential pre-employment safety training to Veterans and launched new programs, including non-destructive testing training, to prepare our clients for a variety of trades roles. New Funding Support: Thanks to new funding in Ontario and Alberta, we’re furthering our mission of bridging the gap between the military community and careers in the unionized construction industry. In 2025, Helmets to Hardhats remains committed to building strong, sustainable career pathways for Canada’s military community. Thank you for being part of this journey—whether as a partner, supporter, or advocate, your contributions have made a tangible impact on countless lives. Together, we’re shaping a brighter future for those who have served our country and building a robust workforce.
