July Stats & Updates
A message from the Executive Director, James Hogarth Happy Summer, friends of Helmets to Hardhats! As the summer sun blazes across Canada, H2H is thrilled to mark the second successful year of attending Summer Cadet Camps. These camps are designed to engage and inspire the next generation of skilled trades workers. Our cadet camps have been a remarkable success, providing young Canadians the opportunity to explore careers in the skilled trades and gain valuable insights into what it takes to excel in these fields. We are also excited to announce our annual fundraiser, which aims to expand H2H’s reach and impact. Our goal with this campaign is to raise funds that will enable more Veterans to access rewarding careers in the skilled trades. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline, and resilience to the workforce, and we are committed to helping them transition smoothly into civilian careers that match their skills and aspirations. To kick off this campaign, the Ontario Insulators have generously contributed $1,500 towards our goal. Their support, along with yours, underscores the importance of this initiative and sets a fantastic precedent for collaboration within our industry. We are deeply grateful for their contribution and your ongoing support, and we hope it inspires other organizations and individuals to join us in supporting our Veterans. Thank you for being a part of the Helmets to Hardhats community. Together, we are building a brighter future for Canada’s skilled trades and military community. Sincerely,  James Hogarth

Check out these great pictures from the Cadet Camp presentation by career advisor Dave Giannou in Whitehorse, Yukon.  It was an honour to meet Capt Ashley Ocran, J5 Plans Officer 1, Regional Cadet Support Unit (Northwest). The H2H presentation was a massive hit, and our booth was packed all day! We loved connecting with Cadet Instructor Cadre Officers, staff, and over 70 incredible cadets.

Normand Trepanier, our H2H Career Advisor, had a fantastic time at the 2nd Canadian Ranger Patrol Group (2 CPRG) Training Camp in Valcartier, Quebec! Pictured here with the Camp Commander, Camp Sergeant Major, and some of the amazing Canadian Jr Rangers from 2 CPRG.  Many Canadian Rangers in 2 CRPG speak a variety of languages including Inuktitut, French, English, Cree, Innu-aimun and Naskapi. They provide patrols for national security and public safety missions in remote and isolated areas in Northern Quebec and Nunavut.
Helmets to Hardhats promote careers in the skilled trades to members of the Canadian Cadet Organizations

Normand Trepanier and Bob Hurley were at the H2H Booth for the Quinte International Air Show. Inclement weather on grounded the planes but the spectators visited the many types of aircrafts from the Royal Canadian Air Force, new and old. Booths were a hit with the crowds inside of a Hanger where H2H connected with many military community members.
