IHSA awards: get your nominations in The nomination period for IHSA’s 2024 health and safety excellence awards closes in one month. Submit your nomination of an individual, team, or project that has made a positive impact on workplace health and safety by August 31 at 4 p.m. and they’ll be considered for recognition at our Annual General Meeting on October 2, 2024. A reminder to keep your promise IHSA is proud to be your partner in creating safer and healthier Ontario workplaces. Recently, we began to roll out a new campaign with an important message for workers and employers: Keep your promise to return home healthy and safe to those who count on you at the end of each workday. Watch our first keep your promise video now.    
IHSA is here for you in northern Ontario IHSA is proud to maintain a significant presence in northern Ontario—to provide vital health and safety services and resources to our members in the region. You can book in-class training at our centres in Thunder Bay, Kenora, Sudbury, and Timmins, or we can provide training at your workplace. IHSA staff can also perform jobsite health and safety consultations, help you get started with the WSIB’s Health and Safety Excellence program (HSEp), and more. Our latest video safety talks IHSA’s expert-led video safety talks offer crucial information on workplace best practices and the safe use of common equipment. Our newest videos look at: The benefits and drawbacks of using chain slings in hoisting and rigging operations. How to set up a travel restraint system when working at heights.
